2011 SCION Exposed Car Show Categories, Rules and Regulations
Owner's Choice
- Best In Show — The best of the best as voted by you the SCION Owner.
- SCION Pride — This vehicle is a moving monument to the SCION way. It shows independent spirit, pride in the brand, and spirit of inclusion that stands alone.
Judging Information:
- This is SCION Owners' chance to cast a vote for their favorite winner in the above 2 categories. The votes will be submitted and tallied on September 17, 2011 and the highest volume of received votes is declared the winner.
Professionally Judged
- xA – Best in Show
- Gen 1 xB – Best in Show
- Gen 2 xB – Best in Show
- Gen 1 tC – Best in Show
- Gen 2 tC – Best in Show
- xD – Best in Show
- Modified Extreme – A vehicle that has crossed the line and taken on a life of its own. It was born a SCION, but everything else is one of a kind.
- High Mileage – It's been ridden hard, but not ready to be put out to pasture. Bottom line – it looks good enough to contend for "Best In Show."
- Daily Driver – You didn't bring this in on a trailer, but it still looks good even with the car seat in the back.
- Work In Progress – You're not quite done yet, but you're on your way. Next year, "Best In Show?"
Judging Information:
- SCION has contracted to use the Street Life Tour professional judges who specialize in car show judging. Watch out, these guys know what they are doing! They will be the ones to tally up the scores and select the winner in each of the 10 categories listed above.
- Judging will occur on Saturday, September 17, 2011
- Time slots will occur from 9am-12:30pm.
- Judging will last a maximum of 5 minutes per SCION.
- Owners will be able to describe their vehicles for the professional judges during the judging period.
Regionally Judged
- Best Club Representation – As your club arrives at SCION Exposed, we will observe how your owners interact with one another and how they display their enthusiasm.
Judging Information
- The manufacturer staff and SCION Panel Members will cast 1 vote each on which club should take home this exciting award. The votes will be tallied and the highest volume of received votes is declared the winner.
- Judging will occur on Saturday, September 17, 2011
What's in it for you?
You will be recognized during the Award Ceremony with a customized trophy on the day of the event. Of course, you must be present to win.
Entry Requirements
You must be the registered owner of the vehicle to enter. If you wish to be a participant in the Car Show portion of SCION Exposed, you must declare when registering for the event. Due to time, judge-to-car ratios, and space constraints we are unable to accommodate same day entry. All SCION Owners must register by 11am on September 17, 2011. Car show participants will be provided vehicle identification cards during the event registration.
Complete Rules
- You must be the registered owner of the SCION to enter and win.
- Vehicle Identification Cards must be clearly displayed on all show vehicles in the dash area/front windshield or the vehicle will not be judged.
- Judging will be based on the Street Life Tour judging standards, which will be fair and impartial.
- There will be awards in each category for 1st place only.
- The “Best in Show” winner is not eligible for any other award. Should this individual win in another category, that award goes to the runner up.
- Judges must have access to all areas of the vehicle, including trunk, interior, or engine compartment if the participant wishes to be judged for that area. Judges will not touch or open any areas of the vehicle, so please make all areas accessible beforehand.
- It is not required, but we do recommend that you be available beside your vehicle to answer judges' questions.
- All vehicles must remain in the show area during the hours of the event; early departure will result in forfeiture of any awards.
- Judges decisions are final. Revisions will not be made to judging sheets. Tie breakers will be decided by the SCION Exposed Owner's Panel. Panel members are not eligible to compete in the car show.
